God is continuously at work behind the scenes.

The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. Gen 2:15 NIV

Before God made Adam and Eve, He first made the work environment in which they would work. God gave them the specific skillsets that they would need to accomplish what God wanted from them and for them. God wanted to fellowship with his creation in a lovely setting, Eden. God would come for walks in the cool of the day and spend time with Adam and Eve in the manicured garden that they had been tending.

God let Adam name the beasts of the field and tend to His garden. When the work grew more than what Adam could handle on his own, He gave Adam a helper named Eve, and together they were enough to accomplish what God wanted.

Thankfully, in the Bible, we see God operating in similar order and fashion time and time again. God prepares the situation and environment before He brings the person on the scene. God had to first create an area for his garden with trees and plants before Adam and Eve could take care of it.

The trees used in building the Ark had to be planted,

grown and established before Noah could carry out the command of God.

God would have to send a bad dream to an Egyptian Pharaoh before Joseph would be hired to save Egypt and his family from starvation.

Goliath had to be born, be raised as a soldier and in time join the Philistine Army before David would leave his fathers sheep to fight him.

God would have to allow the Roman Empire to form and develop before He would send His Son to be crucified on a cross for you and me.

God is continuously at work behind the scenes.

Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him. Isaiah 64:4 NIV

As I am writing this, the entire face of the Earth is reeling from the COVID-19 Virus. Countless lives lost, and many are sick beyond anything they have ever experienced. Many have lost their jobs either temporarily or entirely. It is a great struggle to have the supplies needed to carry out "everyday" living, yet God still provides.

If you have lost your job during this worldwide epidemic, rest in the fact that God knows precisely who you are and where you are. He is aligning your next work environment for you using the skillset He has given you.

Just as God made Eden for Adam and Eve to tend His garden, so too will He provide a place where you will work and bring high levels of production for His glory.

You will work again!
